Application Engineer - SQL
New Iron is leading the search for an Integration Engineer to help integrate existing factory systems with factory scheduling software.
This is a direct-hire position for a global semiconductor company and requires 20% travel to customer sites in Malaysia - Kulim/Penang area.
We encourage candidates who are interested in venturing into new industries, such as semiconductor manufacturing, and possess excellent hands-on SQL skills

Job function may include:

SQL development to integrate existing client factory systems into data warehouse

Act as a customer interface for specific applications issues

Understand customer data flow
-
Assisi software development team as needed
-
Coordinate with various cross-functional teams to develop and optimize data acquisition

Work with fab management and engineering on systems planning, improvement, and mechanisms that optimize quality and performance

Cultivate positive customer relationships
-
Clearly communicate customer needs/requirements to key partners
Should Have:
-
3-5 years of experience in data-centric role
-
Proficient with SQL: data collection and manipulation and databases
-
Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical members
-
Ability to work effectively in a global work environment.

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, CS or related field
Will make you competitive:

Expertise PL/SQL and Oracle databases

Experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing

Experience with Python

Experience managing software development projects

Understanding of semiconductor processes

Understanding of key manufacturing science concepts (production planning, Lean, etc.) to sustain factory dispatching and automation policies
