Application Engineer - SQL

New Iron is leading the search for an Integration Engineer to help integrate existing factory systems with factory scheduling software. 

This is a direct-hire position for a global semiconductor company and requires 20% travel to customer sites in Malaysia - Kulim/Penang area. 

We encourage candidates who are interested in venturing into new industries, such as semiconductor manufacturing, and possess excellent hands-on SQL skills

Job function may include:

• SQL development to integrate existing client factory systems into data warehouse 

• Act as a customer interface for specific applications issues

• Understand customer data flow

• Assisi software development team as needed

• Coordinate with various cross-functional teams to develop and optimize data acquisition 

• Work with fab management and engineering on systems planning, improvement, and mechanisms that optimize quality and performance 

• Cultivate positive customer relationships

• Clearly communicate customer needs/requirements to key partners

Should Have: 

• 3-5 years of experience in data-centric role 

• Proficient with SQL: data collection and manipulation and databases 

• Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical members

• Ability to work effectively in a global work environment.

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, CS or related field 

Will make you competitive: 

• Expertise PL/SQL and Oracle databases

• Experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing  

• Experience with Python

• Experience managing software development projects

• Understanding of semiconductor processes

• Understanding of key manufacturing science concepts (production planning, Lean, etc.) to sustain factory dispatching and automation policies
