Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer with a strong background in smart test methodologies and a proven track record in implementing chip features and validation processes. In this role, you will work closely with design teams to integrate Design-for-Test (DfT) features into automotive chips, ensuring that test modes meet stringent quality standards required for automotive applications. This position is ideal for a candidate with around 8 years of relevant experience who can drive technical excellence, support chip validation post-fabrication, and build strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Application Development: Develop, implement, and support applications that optimize test processes and smart testing methodologies.

  • Design-for-Test Integration: Collaborate with design engineers to integrate DfT features into automotive chip designs, ensuring the implementation of required test modes for quality standards.

  • Chip Validation: Participate in the validation process of chips post-fabrication to confirm that implemented features perform as expected in real-world conditions.

  • Customer Engagement: Analyze customer requirements, translate them into robust test procedures and documentation, and serve as a technical advisor for customers.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across design, software, and quality to ensure seamless integration of test solutions.

  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate emerging test technologies and best practices to maintain and enhance our testing capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Advantest 93k

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • Approximately 8+ years of experience in applications engineering, with a strong focus on chip design validation and test development.

  • Demonstrated expertise in smart test methodologies, Design-for-Test practices, and test automation.

  • Familiarity with automotive quality standards and the implementation of test modes required for these standards.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer interaction skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both remotely and within collaborative team environments.
