Critical Manufacturing Project Manager 

New Iron is looking for a Critical Manufacturing Project Manager to work on a contract basis for our manufacturing client.

This Project Manager will lead the successful implementation of Critical Manufacturing's Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to multiple manufacturing sites.

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, from initial planning to implementation and beyond.

This is a crucial role in driving operational excellence and achieving significant efficiency gains across our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive project plan for the MES implementation, considering scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and manage a cross-functional team, including internal staff and personnel provided by Critical Manufacturing.
  • Collaborate closely with Critical Manufacturing representatives to ensure clear expectations and deliverables are established.
  • Evaluate the work of staff assigned by Critical Manufacturing and ensure their efforts align with company needs.
  • Manage project risks and dependencies, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues.
  • Facilitate clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including senior management, production teams, and IT departments.
  • Monitor project progress against established benchmarks and adjust the plan as needed.
  • Oversee system configuration, testing, and user training.
  • Manage post-implementation activities, including data migration, system optimization, and ongoing support.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), preferably Critical Manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex IT projects to completion on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
  • Adaptable and results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.

Nice to Have: 

  • Certification in Critical Manufacturing or related technologies is a plus.
  • Semiconductor Manufacturing Knowledge
